Default 1st time Jag owner. 2004 XJR

Been a BMW owner for years, but wanted something different. Found a 2004 XJR that just really hit me in that special spot. Coulda been the "Supercharged" factor....

Looking forward to learning all I can about this thing. Loving it so far....

Here's a pic.

Whow, you have a seriously nice automobile there !! And it looks as if it hasn't been anywhere; did the previous owner lock it up in his garage ? I like the wheels too.

Anyway, welcome to our band of Jaguar brothers, (or is it lunatics ?). You are especially favoured with your car, with its aluminium body assembled with rivets and aerospace quality glue, it is an aircraft fuselage on the road. No other car company has anything like this, and you get the Jaguar style too.

If you didn't already know it, Jaguars are all about style, and driven by gentlemen of taste and discrimination, (or some such bulls**t)

Welcome to the forum

Welcome from a fellow West Coaster. It's a beautiful car, and I'm sure you'll learn lots here.

Thanx. Kind of ironic. I happen to work for a rather well known commercial aircraft manufacturer up here in the Seattle area. As far as the "gentlemen of taste and discrimination", well. I'm not sure I fit the bill on that one. I fall more into the long haired, biker trash catagory, that just has a penchant for nice cars. When I step out of a car like this, people either assume I'm the mechanic, or I stole it.

I kinda liked the wheels too. And the car actually came with the set of stock wheels as well. I was actually debating on having them anodized or powdercoated a gloss black. We'll see.

Anyway, thanx again for the welcomes....

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

I did edit my sig, but it doesn't seem to be taking. Of course, the only info I have at the moment is "2004 XJR" I guess I could add Supercharged, but that's about all I know about it at the time. I just picked it up Saturday, and still can't drive it, til I get plates. I bought it in Oregon and I live in Washington. So I have to wait til the dealer mails me the title in order to get plates. Or pay $30 for a 3 day trip permit, every 3 days til it gets here. I don't really have a ton of other info on it besides that.

I think they're Hankooks, and yea, them and the wheels are new. The previous owner just put em on before trading em in. Not sure why, but I'm ok with it.

How did you even find it, let alone replying to a 7 year old Intro thread?
