Default 2000 xk8

Hi, this is my first post. I am picking up this car Wednesday and have been visiting your forum for about a week. You guys have a good thing going here. Amazing content and generous posters. I have a lot to learn about maintaining this car and I know I am in the right place. Thank you for such great information. I hope I will be able to contribute. David.

Welcome to the forum David,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. The XK8 looks superb. Please check vehicle details in your Signature because I think it should read '1998' and not '2008'.

It sounds like you probably already know your way around here but if not, follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the US North East Region section by following this link North East US - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region. They should be able to help you locate a technician.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

I was just checking in again and I am amazed at how many first time car owners are posting there're first post. Has this place been growing like this for a long time or has there been a surge of used Jags being bought? David.

This forum is doing things right and has evolved into the best resource around.

It is well moderated, the vast majority of discussion is helpful, friendly and interesting. There is also a great storehouse of knowledge available here and a critical mass of participants usually makes for a fast response. There is even the occasional free drawing.

Most of the other Jaguar forums have comparatively light activity, especially in regards to models of the last 15 years.

I responded to your other post as well. Here is the write up on the fuel pump and Sam's video. It may help whomever is going to work on the car if it is in fact the fuel pump. Rule out relays and fuses first and have them assure the car will run momentarily if fuel is "hand placed" into injection system.
