2001 xk8

I am a new member considering buying a 2001 XK8
Should I move up to a 2004 -2006 to avoid the timing chain problems etc on the older models?

I've previously owned both a 2001 and a 2005 XK8 Coupe and would gladly have either again. If a tensioner change is factored into the purchase price, it need not be a reason to reject the earlier model. You will get plenty of opinions and advice on preferences and other items to check in the XK8/XKR tech forum.
