Default 2003 s type v6

Hello everyone. I'm new here and am hoping you can help. I'm a female and truly know nothing about cars. Have had my jag about 2.5 years it has 50k miles and recently had spark plugs changed, pcv hose replaced when it was running hard and check engine limp mode light came on. It ran better for a couple weeks but light is back on and it seems to kind of Jerking or better to say feels like it's being pulled back when I get to about 35mph and continues to about 50mph. It's not a continuous movement but every 3 or 4 seconds. The last repair costs 500 bucks and I just want to fix this and not get ripped off.. please help!!!! Last night the light was actually blinking and the car seemed to be running hard again.. mainly at idling.

Welcome to the forum Sadjag,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

First advice on troubleshooting Jaguars - don't start by throwing $$$ at them!

When the CEL (Check Engine Light) has come on there will be error codes recorded which will help identify the cause(s). If the vehicle is driveable and you can get to e.g. Pep Boys, they will read the codes for you. Post the codes back here (the actual codes - not descriptions) for help on what they mean.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 ( X200 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link US Western - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
