Welcome to the Forums.

The members in the X Type (X400) Tech Section will have answers, as will the "stickies" at the top of that section.

This is not the section for Tech answers, BUT, Battery, age, integrity, charge ability, etc etc, is ALWAYS #1 on any Modern car. Strange codes and behaviour generally get sorted with a NEW, good battery.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Quinn,

You have correctly identified P1573 as CAN throttle angle error. It is usually a TP (Throttle Position) Sensor or associated harness fault.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

One thing you need to eliminate when troubleshooting Jaguar faults. These vehicles are very sensitive to battery condition. A partially discharged or failing battery can often throw up all kinds of fault codes simply because sensor signals are out-of-range. Be sure to eliminate this as a possible cause before assuming anything worse.

Thanks for that info, me and my father already put a completely new battery in it a few days ago before he gave it to me.
