It would be very helpful to know the vehicle model, MY, kilometres/miles and conditions the vehicle is operated under.

What is the battery voltage across the terminals with the ignition in the OFF position when checked with a voltmeter?

2007 xj8-L .. I use the emergency brake at Redline to slip it into neutral and pull the emergency brake on because I have a bad leg. Then it just suddenly stopped working.

Welcome to the forums Stephen,

Good to have you with us.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome... Centerville, Ohio or Centerville, Utah...?

"I use the emergency brake at Redline to slip it into neutral and pull the emergency brake on because I have a bad leg. Then it just suddenly stopped working" You apply the EPB at "redline"...?

I understand the bad leg part of the equation, but I am not sure the electronic parking brake was designed or intended for regular use in this manner. For most users it gets applied after the transmission is in "park" and the pawl is engaged inside of the transmission as a back-up.
