Default 2003 XKR

Am the proud 3rd owner of a 2003 XKR with a factory installed sunroof. Looking forward to learning lots on this site. No plans on wrenching on the car myself but I at least like to be informed on issues so I don't get the run-around when I do take her in. So far only known issue seems to be a brake sensor that causes the cruise control not available and check rear lights warning. Drove it home 2 days ago from 300 km north. Was a much better ride than the last time I drove home from there with a new acquisition - an all original 58 chevy pickup.
Cheers
Kim

Welcome to the forum Kim,

Is that a typo for XJR or an unusual description for a convertible?

Welcome aboard, Kim. I had the brake-light/cruise control switch go out in my '06 XK8 coupe. I couldn't face crawling under the dash so had my mechanic do it. Cost a bit over $200 for the switch (from a Jaguar dealer) and just under $100 for the labor. Well worth it to me. If I'd been willing to wait around, indefinitely, for a cheaper switch, might have knocked nearly $100 off that bill but I wanted it fixed and all the places that listed cheaper switches seemed to be out of stock.

Granville

PS I hadn't realized there was a factory-installed sun roof. I'd love to see a picture of your car with that feature.

Nope - legit XKR coupe. I can't remember now what year XK8 stops and XKR starts.
