2004 jaguar xjr not sure if an s-type
First time car buyer and i purchase a jag. Once before while in cruise control it read "restricted performance" not sure why took it off cruise control and it went away. I just recently had the differential replaced. It sat still for a few months bc it wouldnt go into reverse (which is why i changed the differential). Now since its been fixed it says "transmission fault". In stop in go traffic once i ease off the gas nd accerlate a lil it jumps. It did that for a few days nd it would dissapear. Now my transmission light is on. What can be the problem? (I know nothing about cars)

Welcome to the forum Saddie,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
This is an S-Type:
This is an XJR:
Jaguar names are so confusing, even to the Factory and Dealers, that they use the factory build codes to distinguish them and so does the forum. Your 2004 XJR is build code X350.
Follow this link XJ XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR ( X350 & X358 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. I recommend you post your transmission light issue question there for advice from members with the same model. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
If your 'Dulac' is the one in Louisiana, you can also visit the US Southern Midwest forum by following this link US Southern Midwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
