Default 66 e-type

I am a new owner of a jag e-type 4.2 that I have received as a gift from my uncle. My uncle purchased the jag new in 4/1966 and daily drove for 20 years. He won 3 autocrosses in the late 60's. The car has been repainted once and a lot of mechanical work in 2006. The jag has not been driven much in rhe past 5 year's.

Going to need help with parts like oil filters and an alternator to start.

Yes I am very lucky

Welcome to the forum Scott,

Good to have you here witb us at Jaguar Forums.

A one owner E-Type from a relative - it doesn't get much better than that!

Follow this link E type ( XK-E ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the E-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...a-dc-de-wv-65/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Scott,

Your SigPic and Signature aren't showing. Is the SigPic you're trying to use within the size limits:

The size is the problem. I do not know how to reduce the size of photos. Emailed myself a photo from my cell phone in the smallest format and it was still way to large. Looks like a need software I do not have.

Scott,

I've sent you a forum PM (Private Message) with my eMail address.

If you want to send me the photo, I'll see if I can resize it for you.
