Abs problems
Hi everyone I'm Doug and I'm new. I have a 89 xjs which I've had for 9 years without any mechanical problems apart from wear and tear just the usual rust problems lol. I need help with a brake issue. I will start at the beginning. I parked up the other day with no problems when I went back out I had no brakes with no lights indicating this luckily I only went round the corner. The brake pedal is hard. The abs light comes on and goes off as normal but the red brake light doesn't come on at all. The pump doesn't run either but I've ran power to the pump and it runs so I have changed the yellow abs relay and still the same. I have ordered a new accumulator ball but I think it's electrical somewhere. I have also checked if there's any power getting to the pump so I checked the connector which connects to the pump but there is no power. If I disconnect the relay in the boot the abs light stays on which say that relay is ok but I could be wrong has anybody any ideas thanks.
