Aloha all, Steve's the name and we live on Kauai a small island in the Pacific ocean - I just purchased a 17 F-Type Premium Convertible.
Always wanted a Jaguar and was fortunate to have the opportunity to buy one of these driving machines. We purchased ours from a used car dealer in CA., sight unseen (can hear the, what he say - huh...what did he do?!) - but we did as much research as one could do and were provided multiple photos from the sales person. Anyway the car was originally purchased and used as a rental in FL, how it got to CA is beyond me. It only has 11650 miles on it but somewhat disappointedly has no warranty as it was purchased as a fleet. Put her on a barge and shipped her over here to us.
The rental agency clearly treated this gal badly inside and out and we aim to get her standing upright and proud. However, we do not have a JLR Dealership on this island and the closest one is on Oahu in Honolulu- Not exactly convenient for taking her in for a tune up. This is the reason I'm here on your forums .. To ask for help from and with the wisdom filled and experienced F-Type owner members.

Yep, convenience there is not Jaguar Friendly.
There will be mountains of info in the F Type section, and I see no reason the beast will not rise again with some TLC from yourselves.

Car rental agencies are known for shifting cars between locations, especially if said cars have been subjected to any water damage. I hope yours didn't ride out any of the Numerous hurricanes or other water related disasters to hit the East Coast of the mainland in the past several months.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
