Welcome to the forum bearnest56,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I think US specification was the rectangular headlight and some owners have subsequently changed to European style twin headlights but US members with this model will know for sure.

Follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome.

4 head lamps was USA standard, but the regulators relented somewhat in the late '80's.

The Euro style was the Rest of The World.

Where do I look for answers on a 1989 xjs convertible. Under classics in the xjs area it starts with 1995 ?
