Talking Another newbie

Hello and greetings to all!

I'm the proud new owner (new to me) of an '03 Jaguar XJ8 (x308), topaz exterior and oatmeal interior . She came to me with 57,411 miles on her odometer, a little rough but I could see the beauty in her as she sat abused.

Previous owner initially based on the CARFAX was very diligent in maintaining her service records, dealership oil changes were great and a pretty good service history. I've always wanted to purchase a VP but when I stumbled across this young lady--I knew she was meant for me, and my family. I hope she doesn't betray me and prove the wife correct lol

Prior to purchasing this Topaz lady, I lurked on the forum so I could have a good idea of what to look for as a flag to run in the opposite direction. After the purchase, I had the wrecker tow her directly to my indy mechanic, as I followed in tow.

My goals for her are; to get all the 70k service completed, to ensure she is mechanically sound. Second, to get a complete interior detail! Third, a new set of rubber to make her stick as I put her through the paces. Fourth, take her to my paint and body guy to get the "uglies" removed for a facelift--followed by an exterior detail to die for lol.

I'm thinking my first mods will be to add heated seats to the front and rear! As a second mod, I'll also add a concealed radar detector

I have a lot of questions and hopefully during the winter months with the help of the knowledge of this forum and some old fashion elbow grease I'll have a beauty queen

I hope to contribute as much as I benefit.

Chris

Thanks to all the MODERATORS for such an awesome welcome and the basic links to get me started on my journey!! TY Bad Cattitude for the welcome as well.

I want to thank everyone in advance for answering any annoying questions on my journey to make this Lady truly my own! I'm looking forward to a few modifications, learning this car from front to back, getting her up to par and ready to be a city/highway driver.
