Default Another question about fuel

Just bought my wife a 2000 s-type 4.0 and have been using "premium unleaded" with an octane of 91. This is the highest I've found hear in my area of NE. My question is we have ethanol here (you know, cornhusker state) that I can also get an octane rating of 91. I use ethanol in my other cars but I don't know if Jags will like it. Could someone fill me in.

Edit 1. It's here not hear.
Edit 2. The ethanol is a 10% blend.

Welcome to the forum jeepluvsjags,

(I've merged you two separate Intro threads)

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

According to the Driver's Handbook, fuel with a maximum 10% Ethanol or Methanol content is suitable.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Your car should be fine on E10. I've run nothing but E10 in my various Jags for umpteen years.

The owner's manual for my 1988 Jag VDP specifically says E10 is fine, so Jaguar has been aware of E10 for a long time.

Cheers
DD
