Default Back again...

Hi everyone. I have had a couple of Jaguars in the past, and was active on the forms here 10+ years ago. Life has had it's ups and downs. I sold the last of my Jaguars, the XKR in about 2012 due to an imminent divorce.

In the meantime I have been quite busy, got remarried, and my new wife has always told me her dream car is and XK8 convertible, in British Racing Green, with a tan top. So we have on and off been looking for a few years.

We finally found a decent deal on an XK8 that needs a bit of work. It is not the correct color for her, but she is excited to help get it cleaned up and running. Maybe after a while we can trade to one that is the right color. In the meante this 1997 we got seems like it is in better shape than any of my previous Jaguars, aside from the known mechanical issues. It was obviously well cared for up until it stopped running and was left in a garage for the past few years.

Welcome back to the forums Andy,

I'll give you a reminder of where to find things. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Andy,
Congratulations on your wife's new Classic Xk8!
At least it's been garaged and not sitting out in a field somewhere inhabited by Mice and other Vermin.
I can tell you how wonderful it is when a man buys his wife a Jag. That's how I got mine!!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
