Biting the bullet...
Hi guys,
I'm Des,
I spent 20 years as steel fabricator/Welder, but after looking round the workshop and seeing no-one over 55 I decided to go back to school and get a BSc in Computer Science, now happily working hands on in a support role, I always had a big interest in mechanical work, kept it as a hobby though so I didn't kill the interest. That leads be to my car I have had my 2014 XF for about 3 years. We have had our fair share of issues but I still love her, when I grow up I want an XJ.
so far issues include:
EGR dying - mapped out.
No battery retaining bracket, cost me 3 batteries within a year causing multiple electrical issues including the BCM loosing the VIN !!! - £10 retaining bracket fixed the root cause.
Now there is a boost pressure issue.
I have posted on a thread and I hope someone can help, so far I have replaced the MAF, MAP and turbo actuator and the results are the same.
Any Questions? drop me a message.
