Welcome to the forum Jacob67,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Looks like you already have the good weather to enjoy the XK8.

Follow Steve's link in post #3 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I have added a signature as suggested.

The picture in my first post, is from the sales add, sorry to say: I didn't take that picture. Kudos to the former owner.

Jacob,

I think it is Ivory.

To be certain, check the Trim Code (arrowed in red in the photo) on the Manufacturer's label on the LH door pillar:

Bought me a XK8 Convertible-trim-code.jpg

The 3-letter code gives the exact colour. This is NED (Ivory) from my 2005 XK8. If your code is different, post it back here and I'll look up the colour for you.

Welcome Jacob67,
Beautiful Jaguar. Be sure and read all the sticky's on the XK8/XKR section of the forum.
Every time I see a beautiful car parked on a pier I always think of this:

Hi Fulton, please don't visualize my car being washed that way .

BTW, I hear some knocking noises in front of my car, might be the lower ball joint and/or the lover shock bushings. Hear it when hitting small bumps in the road. What do you think?

Sorry about the video
I have an unnatural fear of Piers, Clowns, and Parades.
While you are checking for the source of the clunk, check the upper shock mounts, those are a common failure.
