Brake light failure mesage

Brake light failure mesage
2009 XK8 convert 46000 miles recently came up on dash up with BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE....... took it to local shop, they could not fix it, they say every time they put in a new bulb & fuse....the fuse BLOWS. They are at a loss as to how to proceed. Any help as to what might be the issue would be appreciated. Never had any electrical issue with this 09 till now.

Very often members of the appropriate section will know Jaguars better than the shop, because members only need to know their specific model rather than every Jag introduced in the last 25 years. Doubtless they will be able to help you get to the bottom of your sudden fuse problem.
