Red face California !

Hello Folks,

I never imagined owning a Jaguar, I didn't even like them , or was attracted to them? I saw this Audi I wanted to buy because of the all wheel drive. Because I wanted to move to an area were it would snow in the winter.

When I got there ,the Audi had been sold. And I ended up purchasing this lovely Jaguar ?? Anyway, I do enjoy it very much. And Ford motor company has something to do with the engine, and that's kind of a plus for me. Anyway it's really nice to me , however I'm needing to fix the non- functioning license plate lights. Any successful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

St. Maurice

What good fortune for you! Jaguars have more personality than Audis anyway. LOL
But you don't say which Jaguar you got!

Welcome to the forum Saint_Maurice,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/

My White Jaguar S-Type 2001 V6 3.0 & Thunderbird 1997 V8

I really enjoy the soft leather interior, the color is nice and it feels real nice to the touch.

Looks great.

I never see any white Jaguars except on the forum. It's many years since Jaguar listed white as an option in the UK.

Default Thanks Everybody for your kind replys

Hi Folks,

So I was wondering about customizing ? ( After market stuff)Like white rims , maybe 18" or 19" inch. w/ black rotors, and black caliber covers? And a body kit!

But I was concerned about taking away from the natural opulence of the vehicle? I'm not really concerned with resale value, because I'll keep a car for a long time.
Thanks again for your kind replies,

St.Maurice

I think white rims would look good. You should ask the guys in S-Type tech forum about going up to 19 inch rims - ride quality could suffer.

Thank you , Graham

Yes I have spoke with some folks about the 19" rims, it appears like with 19" rims- tires are more expensive, and difficult to come by. And, I am trying to retain the quality ride. So I'm thinking 18" rims would be for the flair and still retain the nice ride. And tires could be had easily at regular prices.

Thanks again for your reply,
