Thumbs up Can't see Alaska from here!

Greetings from a new member in the NZ Tararua mountains north of Wellington.

Been around Jags all my life since my grandfathers XK and my fathers Mk 10. I have had 5 Cats including Mk 2, XJS, XJ6 and S-Type. Now in addition to a customised van I have impetuously bought an immaculate X-Type 2.5 with 82,000 K's on the clock.Engine check light been on since I moved it from Christchurch last week. Something to do with the journey on the transporter truck and ferry perhaps. I have ordered an OMD2 diagnostic tool to see if there is a fault - and to turn the check light off.

Good to be back in a Jag after a short dalliance with a BMW 5 series and a Mercedes SLK Sportster. Will probably be back to the forum soon to check the fault code after I receive my diagnostic tool.

Cheers (with NZ Merlot)
Kieran

Welcome to the Forums.

Alaska is probably a stretch, even after a few Merlot's, but Antarctica is closer by a couple of kms.

Good luck

After three Merlots the wider world seems a bit more distant - but always visible with your eyes closed........

Welcome to the forums Kieran,

Merlot must be a lot stronger than I thought.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the New Zealand Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/new-zealand-97/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
