My first automotive love was a 1970 Mercury Cougar that I built and modified to eventually run the 1/4 mile in 11.6 seconds, after restoring, modifying and hot rodding numerous Cougars over the years and admiring their original inspiration from afar (I always loved Jaguars but they were out of reach) I began looking for a car as a suitable gift for my wife (Cougars were my thing not hers). After about 7 months of searching (originally for a Porsche- until I showed her an XK8), I found the perfect 1997 XK8, tensioner upgrades done, recent complete service records. Long/short, she loves it, as do I. Here I am a multiple cat owner.

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
