Default Change x type bumper trim to S type

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum & was looking for a solution for my X type driver door not locking problem. I was advised by members of this site to a common problem in the ignition barrel getting stuck which makes the locking of doors an issue. Used WD40 on the key barrel & now the central locking works just as it should. Thanks everyone for this valuable info as I was going crazy without a solution.

I have seen some American X types between years 2001 & upwards have a yellow reflector at the end of chrome trim on the corners of the bumpers. Can anyone advise if I can fix these to a UK spec X type as the bumpers are the same. But they have just the long chrome trims instead the ones with a reflector. I also have noticed that the S type has this type of chrome trims with the yellow reflectors at the end of trim. So want to know if the chrome trims on an S type bumper will fit an X type bumper?
Thanks again for all the help.
Best regards
Jerry

Default New info

I have been doing some research & not 100% sure if this will work. I have seen the chrome bumper trims with reflectors on the XJ8 2003-2010 model. Bumpers look the same. But I have not seen them in person. So not sure if they will exactly fit the X type bumper. Any suggestions?
