Classic Jag found in Crush Pile
Hello Jag lovers! I am a car guy and i love the classics, part of my hobby is hunting down unloved cars left for dead in buildings, fields and the bush. I bring them home and make them useful to the unthusiests if i can. I do not speak Jaguar so i dont know any specifics about this car and the only reason i fugured out what it is, is because it says it on the 6cyl engine block. This is the first Jag i have ever found older than the 70's. Its too bad this guy found it before i did because he cut a bunch of parts off of it in hopes to sell them. However, he left a LOT of good stuff still bolted to the car then put it on the crush pile. Its located in southern BC, Canada but i need to know if it is worth my time to bring it home? If i do is it just going to sit and rust into the ground or are people going to need parts from it? The engine is apart and in the trunk and the guy has the doors, hood, grille and some other pieces as well. These are the only two pictures i have at the moment, the car is almost a three hour dive from my home.

Hello Hemi, welcome to the forum.
I too like a good project car, but I have to agree with Richard on this one. I believe its day is over.
Such a sad thought for what was once a sign of elegance!

Noooooo! a MK9 saloon - what a damn shame, it'd sell promptly for the parts in the UK....
I recall a trip up to north Yorkshire with my father about 10 years ago to look at an XK150 DHC. When we got there, there was a tree growing out of it, literally through the floor. The seller told my father it was stripped but 100% complete. A chainsaw, and hauling it out, we bought it for £10K. It later sold for £100K. (it cost over 40k to restore, less our time!)
Nothing is too far gone, nothing. It's just the amount of work to restore.
Welcome!
