Default Climate control and radio problems

I'm not sure I'm in the right area, but I have a question.

I recently purchased a 1997 XK8 and the climate control seems to have no power . I took a controller out of another car that was working and it does not work in my car . any suggestions.

On another note maybe related , this car had an aftermarket radio . when I put a radio out of a working car it also seems to have no power .

if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I only have 2001 XK8 diagrams, but based on those I'd check fuses 6 and 9 on the passenger fuse box.

Check out your owners manual, it will list the exact fuses for your car.

First off I want to thank you . But when I bought this car I did not get an owners manual. I guess that needs to be next on my list. But I did check all the fuses in the passenger side and driver side fuse boxes. They all seem to be good. Anymore suggestions?
Thank you again Cliffs 1997

I did find a manual for a 97. (go to the forum tools, download section).
I know you checked, but here's more detail:
#6, passenger box-AC
#12, passenger-AC
#12 Drivers, radio
#9 passenger, -radio.

Do they not light up at all? Any other stuff not working?
