Daimler Dirk
Hi all, My name is Dirk, I live in Barcelona, Spain. I have a 1990 Daimler XJ40 in Burgundy red with a cream interior. I bought this car about a year ago from the son of the first owner, he inherited the car and because he doesn't live in Europe, decided to sell it. I bought the car in Valencia, Spain 3 days before the big rain floods hit the city ( the parking garage it was parked in, was completely submerged) On the 4 hour drive home I noticed some obvious things to attend to, wheelbearings needed replacing, oilpresure sensor was all over the place, cruise control didn't work, passenger side window without function and the rear driverside door central lock didn't open. On the plus side, the hydraulic brake booster had just been replaced, SLS was already deleted and brakes and tires were in great condition. It passed ITV ( Spanish MOT ) with flying colors. A side from the original fuel pump working like an 89 year old man's prostate during a 3000 kilometer roadtrip in the hottest week of summer, the car has been absolutely fantastic. I drove 11.000 kilometers in the last 12 months, enjoyed every single one of them.

Perhaps one of the Mods will move your post from the end of Will's to a place of your own.
