Hi just registered here hope can help I bought my dad a 06 s type 3.0 v6 automatic for his birthday, single dad off 2 so hardly any money, I saw a 04 s type 3.0 v6 automatic sport 94.000miles in British racing green, been sitting awhile and someone cut the cats off and needs some other bits bit no rust noisey but starts first time, does need some stuff doing but thought be nice to try save it and get it back on road for me and my kids, my dad's supportive but everyone else said I'm mad should off bought a car with nothing wrong mot on it etc, bit of honest really like car and would love to get it back as good as I can with hardly any money and try what can on own for kids and me, need afew bits bit trying to find a driver side mirror cover on its own and having trouble don't no if the x type in same colour the mirrors and covers are same straight swap or not, any help and advice or parts I need would be amazing help, thank you. You won't like the cost of a new mirror back from Jaguar but this page from their website shows which other models use the same cover:






This could help you source the correct used cover.
