fearless new XJS owner
Hi everyone from just north of Chicago,
As my title says, I'm new to the Jaguar Forum.
I have an all original 1977 Jaguar XJS with 18665 miles on the odometer. The car has not been driven on the road since 1993. This car was originally purchased my my younger brother back in Feb 1978. The car came into my possession 18 months ago when he passed away. So, needles to say the car is important to me.
I'm one of the shade tree mechanic generation that is; fearless when it comes to working on cars. As a kid, it wan't uncommon to pull and engine in the backyard on a Saturday morning,and put it in and drive it the same day. That being said, I'm quite comfortable with most anything having to do with cars including.
As guess my user name should be fearless, rather than hleew.

It's probably good that you're fearless when it comes to the XJS. Although, its having been in the family for so long, you've probably had your fingers in it at least once before now.
You'll Really enjoy our XJS section if you haven't already found it. If you have, you know there's almost Nothing about these cars those guys don't know, and are glad to share.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
