Default Finally got my long awaited Jag!

Hello one and all,

I recently acquired a 2003 X type with 88,000 miles on it. The engine purrs at idle, but misses under a load. It also klunks at low speeds when hitting a bump. I plan to replace the transfer case fluid by the best method I can find and eliminate the misfirring under load. Once that is done, I will deal with the klunk. I am sure many out there know the methods for these fixes and I look forward to learning them. The transmission seems ok but I would also like to replace the fluid and filter if it has one.

Thanks!
Rjcl004

Welcome to the forum Rjcl004,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech section so no need for a link.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
