Hey everyone,

I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago about trading in my M3 for an XJ and today I finally got it!

It's a 2011 XJL 5.0NA, finished in Indigo Blue over Navy/London Tan. The car has 57000KM/35000miles and is in mint condition. It's a Jaguar CPO car so I have warranty for another three years or 160000KM.

So far my impressions are these;

First off, I like the change from an all out sports car to a luxury cruiser that's got tons of space and a nice growl when I need to go vroom! I especially like driving in S with Dynamic Mode on. The paddles are very responsive and I definitely don't miss the third pedal. While others have posted that they complained about the 11's ride quality, I find it quite nice compared to that of my M3. In fact, even while the XJL is in Dynamic Mode and tranny is set to S, I find that it's about as rough as when the M3 was set to comfort. So for me it's a huge improvement.

I'm loving the colour combo too. I've always been a grey over black leather kind of guy and the Indigo over navy/London tan is a refreshing and fashion forward change. Love it!

The infotainment system isn't as bad as everyone say it is and while many other cars in its class probably have better systems, the one in the Jag is light years ahead of the iDrive in my 08' M3.

First thing I gotta do to the Jag and ASAP is to tint those windows! That's one thing I can't live without. I'm like a Vampire when I drive and like it dark! lol

Anyhow, I'm sure y'all will get to know me soon enough. I was pretty active on the M3 forums from when I bought my car so I'm sure I'll be just as active here too.
