Default Finally joined the Jaguar club

Hi all. After many years of waiting I finally bought my self a 2009 xkr 150. A surely love it but after only having it for one week I've already had to fix the rear heat guard and I've got the airbag warning light come on fuel to a passenger seat fault code doh. Even though I have a warranty with the car can anyone prodie advise on anything i should take a closer look at? I have a full service on the car and it has just been checked out by a independent garage and advised on getting it wax oiled underneath. Thanks to all for any advise.

I also owned a 2009 XKR, which had a lot of electrical problems. The windshield wipers would come on when I started the car and wouldn't stop until the car stopped. The Jaguar garage told me that I had to replace an electric mother board (around 3000 €) and reflash the car. I left it for an XF.

If the car is still under warranty, I suggest doing a thorough check in a qualified garage and seeing if anything is wrong before the warranty ends.

Take care of the gearbox. It's not "sealed for life" as claimed ...

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
One might expect a few faults from a car 11 years old, especially if the Previous Owner wasn't particularly diligent about care. But it would seem these things are relatively minor, only the car seeking your attention. It's really a clumsy attempt at worming its way even deeper into your affections.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
