Talking Finally made it!

Hello fine people of the interwebz! New gal on the block, and after 12 years of wishing and hoping, I finally made it to "almost" owning a Jaguar!

All throughout middle school/high school, I said I wanted my first car to be a Jaguar, 3 cars later I now have the keys to a 2002 Jaguar 3.0 V6 X-Type!

Yesterday, walking into the dealers lot, I was set up to purchase a Kia Forte and luckily there were several major issues found under the hood and I moved over to the Jag, which I had already assumed was out of my league.

I just stood there, looking at it for more than 10 minutes and then finally did a routine check, and headed off for a test drive. I was already in love, but the smooth drive was the ring on my finger. Got back to the lot and filled out all paperwork.

I might have overpaid a little bit ($5,500), but she is beautiful! I will certainly post a pic once I finally get her cleaned.

"Furocious" is the blue-ist of blues, lined with chrome, white leather interior, she came with brand new 5 day old all-season tires, wood-grain lining on the dash and she had only gained 70,000 miles in her 12 years.

There are a few minor scuffs, but you wouldn't know unless you were looking for them. However, I was told, and since I did buy "as is", I need to purchase an 02 sensor, due to the engine light being on. I'm hoping that's all it is. Let's do this!

Let's do this!
You do know, don't you, that KIA means Killed In Action!

I think it's safe to say all of us have fallen in love with our cars, mostly at first sight. You may find a few 'issues,' but that's true of any relationship -- and this WILL be a relationship. Onward!

And, by the way, Welcome from ElinorB.
