First Jag = XK8 1997 4.0L Aberdeenshire, UK
Good morning.
First a confession! It is my wife's jag. I do the technical side but I am insured for it but may never get to drive it. She bought it remotely yesterday from Arthur Stanley Ltd in Sheffield. She got lots of videos sent and they were very helpful. They showed all the bodywork imperfections. The car has now been driven up to Aberdeen (UK) and handed over. It looks stunning! It drives great so mechanically it seems sound. It has come with Full Service History, 3 fobs, 3 keys (plus green one). Brown & Black original folders with seemingly everything inside. It has done about 3,000 miles in the last 5 years.
It is 24 years old so here are the starting faults we have found so far:
No cruise control
No volume on entertainment system (not tried a CD)
Electric windows adjustment (very little)
Air Con (have found a video which shows where the low pressure valve is)
Slight wear to drivers seat
Key fob batteries flat
Handbrake not working (we looked up the "how to work the handbrake" issue) and it isn't that.
We look forward to reading up and researching how to fix things. It will be garaged and then over the poorer weather we may put it inside a "Carcoon" in the garage. This one's a keeper.
