First Jag 2005 XJ8 VP (X350)
Hello all
I'va always admired Jaguars and had the pleasure to drive some XJ6s that belonged to others when I grew up.
I am in the process of purchasing my mother in laws 2005 XJ8 VP ebony/charcoal. It has approx 89K. Just had a pre-purchase and 90K service done by my local dealer. Clean bill of health. Noted some rear suspension boots should eventually be replaced. Otherwise told car in great shape. been well maintained and I have all the records.
Ironing out a few issues.
Premium Audio - most speakers not working - I hear this is a common problem with either fallen magnets or bad connections to the coils. Will look at one of the speakers soon to see. May check Amp connections first.
Driver side seat - all power functions work other than rear up down does not though I can hear the motor spinning.
Got one key fob back working after thorough cleaning of switches with contact cleaner. Second may need reprogramming - will try soon.
Other than that all seems well with car. Drives very well.
Thanks for listening and nice to meet everyone.
