Greetings and welcome to the forum! How about some more details - what year is your XJS? How many miles are on it? Hopefully long term storage was done correctly - be very meticulous looking it over, and change all the fluids are my suggestions to you.

it has 108,00 miles i hooked uo the battery and did not start it yet changing fluids today but seems like the e brake is stuck or the callipers? not sure it is in a grage with no lights will be hoime today

XJSs are great cars but I might as well give it to ya straight: a used XJS that has been stored for 5 years will need quite a bit of recommisioning. But you probably already know that.

On the plus side, you've come to the right place. Lots of guys here can help with XJS problems.

ok got it home and wow its in great condition perfect top after all the dust was washed off for some reason i cant get the photos on here that i took, and it only has 80,000 miles on it

As per the other guys, but a set of tyres should be on the list, even if they look good they will have deteriorated over 5 years.
