Just got my first Jaguar, it is a silver 2000 S-Type 3.0L. I have always liked Jaguars, and always wanted one, but I am not one who believes in dedicating my life to a JOB, so never thought I would ever be able to own one. I have had Volvo in the past and although they are awesome cars, nothing compares to a Jaguar. I think this is the nicest car I have ever owned, even only having it about a week. I live in the northern suburbs of Chicago Illinois.
So far I absolutely love the car. It was a little tempermental about starting for a while until I was able to finally run out the gas that was in it for a year of not being used. Illinois gas is crap from the first day so probably lucky it ran at all. Now all we need is the powers to be in the white house to do something about gas prices, especially in the Chicagoland area, $45.00 only buys 9.3xx of premium. On the subject of fuel, which does everyone prefer, Shell, Mobil or BP? My Chevy I always used Shell, but since the Jaguar had year old fuel, I let it go until it said 20 miles to empty and was not going to pay 50 cents more a gallon at the closest Shell station, went to the Mobil. I guess as long as its from the big 3, premium is premium.
