Default FNG checking in.

Just wanted to report to formation and be accounted for, as I am new to the forums. I own two Jaguars and got them for a really good price for me and my wife:
2002 X Type and 04 S Type.

I am in need of help with getting the tow hook off of the front of my X Type .

When I purchased the car the guy that sold it to me said he was unable to remove it himself. I read somewhere you have to turn it the opposite direction as you would normally turn to remove it as it is left hand installed.

I tried to do it by hand myself but was unsuccessful. Is there any tools I need to remove the tow hook?

I would like to add a new grille both upper and lower but the hook would be in the way.

Welcome to the forum A3bnranger,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. The towing eye is opposite thread. With a pry bar through the hole, it should move.

Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type forum and this one S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
