Default Forum is a great find

Hello, the obligatory introduction: I'm in Wiltshire UK and I've not bought my first Jaguar yet, but am smitten with the XK and it is on my list for a few months time as a present to myself when I can at last turn my back on a very long and horrible divorce. Enjoying reading up about the model until I'm ready to seriously look for the right one.
I'm pretty sure I'm fixed on the coupé, and probably a 4.2.

Welcome to the forums 1961XKE,

The Convertible is excellent if you only plan on using the car during the Summer. I use my XK all year round and find a Coupe more practical. Vehicle Tax reminder has just dropped on the door mat this week at £630 so I may SORN it during the Winter this year!

You've probably already found the relevant model forum but if not, follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the XK/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums and the search for your Jaguar.

Graham

Thank you GGG, yes, I've already seen those links and have begun to read the excellent HOW TO section.

Apologies Graham, forgot to say that I'm fairly set on the Coupé but time will tell when I am ready to begin the serious search.

Hello,
I'm sorry for your legal troubles. A new Jaguar will go a long way to make you feel better afterward, if there ever is an "Afterward" to a divorce.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
