Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Congratulations on your new Jaguar! These cars Do have a way of making us fall in love with them.
One can expect some "Projects" on a 23 year old car, unless the Previous Owner took immaculate care of it, and that would be a Rare owner.
With the help of members in our Xj-40 section, you'll have her sorted all sorted out and the problems will be a distant memory. I can tell you how I know that.
