Default Front end grating noise with electrical blank out

Mystery: when I make 90% turn a horrible metallic sound comes & goes. It feels like the car goes electrically dead but it returns to operating. Is this the notorious "GROUNDING" glitch Jaguars are plagued with or something else ?

Hello, Hayden,
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can get help for that noise. It would also be helpful if you told us which Jaguar you're having trouble with.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Referencing the Jag with the front end steering noise. It is a xj8 2003 Jaguar. A good Jag friend told me awhile back that the front wheel bearings need to be replaced. Help me here.
thanks a lot, Hayden

2003 was a model change year. Do you have the steel bodied (1997-2003) X308 or the later (2003-2009) aluminium bodied X350?

Typical of Jaguar, both are confusingly badged as XJ8!

Hello, I'm not sure if my XJ8 has an aluminum body but I noticed that on the drivers door it posted 2003-2004 if this will help the answer.
