Talking Front End problems

I just purchased a 2003 XJ Sport and I have a problem with the front end. When I drive over bumps I hear a clank and there is way to much play in the sterring for a jaguar. I thought it was a broken strut at first and took it into the shop but there in good shape. I also had a 4 wheel alignment done but the vehicle still wanders a little on me. Unfortuneatly there are no Jaguar Dealers in Idaho Falls. Has anyone else came across this problem. Thanks!!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, this New Member Area is just for introductions and greetings from the fellow jaguar membership roles.

I'd suggest a trip to the XJ section (x300 I believe, based on the year) and post up your first thread. (but, your symptoms are consistent with worn sway bar bushings, maybe a sway bar end link. Sounds just like mine, and so many other's symptoms. Recommend bushings first, then re-evaluate)

Take a read at our Sticky for new members, and let us know if you have any other questions about your membership.

How about a little more about yourself?

Welcome aboard Cole. Yup these cars can clonk and thump. As already mentionned check out the XJ boards or try a Search, and you will see a great many posts on this subject.

Cheers,

Howdy Jeff

I'm four hours away from a dealer, so you're going to find a lot of great info here.

Welcome to the forum!
