German official enthusiast
Greetings from Germany.
Iam from a official jaguar / land rover dealer and hope to find here solutions for the older cars. Because the brand don't help us with the problems from the past.
Thanks to the community for the energy to keep this beautiful cars alive.
Sorry for my bad English I try my best.

Welcome to the forum Burg3r,
JLR Dealers here in the UK are naturally more interested in selling and maintaining the current range of vehicles. Unless they have older employees with good memories, they know nothing about the older models and do not want the inconvenience. I expect it will be similar with German JLR Dealers.
I can see you are already communicating with Bob (motorcarman) about WDS so no need for a link to the thread from me. Please add model and year for the vehicle you are working on.
No problem with your English.

Hello,
No dealer helps with cars over about 5 years old. It's just not worth their time.
They would far rather Sell you a NEW car than help you keep your Olde car on the road.
That's why they're called Dealers.
If not for Forums like this one, keeping them on the road in good working order, the planet would be even more littered with old car "recycling yards."

Welcome! To follow up on Elinor B's comment, when I took my then 15 year old S-type to the dealer for a transmission adaptation reset last year, the service advisor made the usual and obligatory "older model" grumbles, of course. The receptionist/cashier (an older woman), who was charged with fetching my car from the service lot when it was done, came back all smiles; she commented "what a pretty car! Sadly they don't make then like that any more...".
At least someone at the dealership appreciates older Jags!

I know exactly what u mean. I'm 31 years old and I love the older one's. That's why I get the jobs on this cars. My older and younger colleagues are working on the new cars.
When I first saw the Beacham and i screamed liked a little girl
, all my colleagues knew that they have a new one for (they think) the **** working.
