Getting a Jag tomorrow. Haven't slept
Live in New York and haven't slept the last week after receiving a call from a good friend ( Jag enthusiast and lead mechanic for Jaguar ) who knew I always wanted a Jag.
At first the call was about a 2004 XJ ( baby blue ) pampered with 70K miles. I wasn't very enthused strictly because of the color and even though 70K miles for a jaguar is nothing it just didn't get me excited.
By sheer coincidence he gets wind of a 04 XKR that he knows personally from a retired Veteran that is selling. He calls me and says MIKE U MUST GO SEE THIS CAR! If you don't I'm buying it. 2004 XKR 27K mint mint mint every option you can think of and the price is amazing.
I thought it was to good to be true. I saw pictures but seeing it in person lead to no sleep for a while.
Tomorrow or Thursday I am picking it up and have never been so excited. I never had a nice car and I work alot so this is a big deal for me. I also am the type of guy who like to make great thing better, so I am looking forward to making this car something special ( it already is) but what I mean is making it my own, giving it a twist. Just me no offense. I don't put ketchup on a great steak, but a bottle of wine makes the steak taste that much better.

I know you're feeling of excitement well! ...I just picked up my "new" baby last weekend myself. A METICULOUSLY maintained S-Type-R, at also a simply AMAZING price! ...Who ever needs to know I/we didn't roll off the show-room with these when they were new? ;-)

thanks Bud, as soon as I get her I'll post the pics. I don't know what else to say except I feel like a little kid when I got my first car. (almost cried, lol MMA fighter so I can say that) First car 1984 Trans Am. All I could do is think about it. Now 20years later a wife and two kids ( Never a mini Van ) wife has a truck and I've been driving a clunker to work so like I said before this is a huge deal for me.
The owner showed me the sticker and it was 81K plus 7K in dealer options and I almost hit the floor, my wife couldn't believe it and my 7 yr old boy seemed confused about where he'll sit. Never in my life could ever picture myself in a car like this. LOL, but nevertheless I'm so pumped. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Congrats on your new Jag. I absolutely love my XKR. Some days I just back it out of the garage only to wax it and put it back in. It's terrific stress relief.
