Angry glow plug indicator light coming on when driving

Hi I am a new member and glad tobe here.
I have recently bought a 2006 xt ype 2Lt diesel. The glow plug indicator light has come on when driving on two occasions . I stopped, waited a few minutes then restarted and there was no further problem, Is this indicative of a problem down the road?
Would be grateful for any advice.
Many thanks Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

Not many diesel owners here but this is a common problem with the X-Type. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...mp-mode-73507/ to one of several threads in X-Type forum about the glow plug issue.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
