Smile Good afternoon...

Just a quick hello to introduce my 2001 X308 LWB (roughly 199,000 miles).

I was in fear of touching anything on this beautiful machine (aka "the beast" in my friends terminology) until I started to delve into this forum.

I have to say, I'm slightly gobsmacked at how much can be done in a DIY sense and have started to explore beyond the full leather interior with immense interest. :-)

Many thanks. I thank you. Yes.

Chris

Thanks Scott.

As an asides, I had omitted to mention that I was about to buy the Jag to the good lady. So when I parked it in front of the house, I was asked a myriad of questions:
Q1: Is it nicked?
Q2: Who lent it to you?
Q3: Have you hired it at least?!

After 15 minutes of severe interrogation, I had to relent and say that yes, I had actually bought it. On the way back from our first trip, the good lady took to recline in the rear to stretch her legs, and suddenly I realised that I was no longer The Gaffer, but Le Chauffeur! :-)

Oh man, welcome to the club! Except with all the kids I have and must run around to places, I decided that if I had to be, as we say over here, a "soccer mom", I was going to do it in style!

Cheers,
Scott

Default Those caps...

Graham & Scott,

I think I'll have to get the RAF or Army chauffeur's cap - dark blue goes nicely with the car :-)

The nice thing about Le Jag is that it's so long that I refuse to go to some supermarkets purely on the basis of their parking spaces being too short for the LWB. :-D

No problem - park it sideways!

(I'd better add that this was taken in my office car park and I don't do this at the supermarket!)
