Good Day
A month ago bought a 2006 XK 4.2l, one of the earliest production cars. It is in wonderful condition. We are looking forward to many happy miles in the car. When new it was fitted with all the available Jaguar optional extras, in the gorgeous colour combination of Indigo Blue with Ivory interior. It has quad pipes fitted, producing a wonderful sound.
Despite being ten years old the car has only done 52,000 miles and is in excellent original condition. I have a record from when it was new, detailing over £10,000 worth of optional extras fitted. I'm still finding my way around them all!
This will be the first time in 25 years that I have not had a SAAB. For the last 16 years my daily drivers have been 9-3 Convertibles. However, I have many miles of driving XJ6s during the 1980s, when my father ran a succession of them. Then I also had many miles driving XJSs, both Coupe and Convertible, during the 1990s, when I worked with a friend and we frequently drove up and down the country in the course of our work. My 88 year old father has just taken delivery of a new F Pace, which I found to be a very nice drive.
I'm in Great Dunmow, Essex, UK which for reference is close to London Stansted airport. I am a 1960s Lotus Elan enthusiast and write regular articles in Club Lotus News and the Historic Lotus Register magazine, as well as running my own website, lotuselansprint.com I'd be happy to chat to anyone about Elans and +2s! Whilst I do get my anorak out for Elans, I am quite normal, married, children and grandchildren, regular runner and cyclist, International Dragon yacht racer and self-employed consultant.

Hello, Tim,
First off Good for DAD!!
As my dad would say, "He won't do it any younger." I think I would like your father.
Your XK sounds like a Lovely car! What a Delightful color combination too! It sounds like you hit the Jack Pot there!
You'll learn everything you need/want to know how to keep your kitty purring in our XK section. Someone will be along shortly to direct you there.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
