Default Greetings!

I am just getting back into being a Jag owner after owning three (1973 XJ, an 88 & an 89 XJ6). All were sold because I didn't have the time to give them to keep them running. I recently found a 1972 XJ6 that I will be purchasing. My plans for consist of a V8 engine swap/ 4 speed transmission, redo the interior which I will keep stock and fix some rust in the rockers and corners.

Joined the forum to get ideas and information on parts for my car as well as helping out fellow Jag owners with parts I won't need.

Ultimately I have til October next year and give it to my wife for my 20th anniversary.

I'm open to suggestions and any other information.

Wow! Nothing like setting yourself a deadline!

My car was professionally done (Chevy 350/700R4) loooong before I was even in the picture, and I wouldn't have it any other way...

Interior renovation is a completely different animal. Mine was also professionally done at the time of the conversion and 'they' did a good job.

Several members in our Xj6 section(XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum) have done their own conversion/renovation/restoration so they will be able to help you with any questions you might have.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks for all the replies, I do upholstery on the side so the interior is not the biggest issue for me. I will be looking for reproduction metal pieces for the rockers and such and getting the manual for the V8 swap I had before.
