Default Greetings

Hi all, picked up my first XKR at the weekend. Looking great and drove from London home to Glasgow without missing a beat.
1998 model.
However the next day when I went to start the car it wouldn't even turn over, just a click. Changed the battery for a brand new one. Still no change.
All the other electrics work just can't start and drive!
Any ideas?
Planning to check the starter when I can locate it..

Welcome.

Bugga.

Try the gearlever in N instead of P, maybe a neutral start hissy.

If not, a quick repost in teh "XK8/XKR" section will have it sorted.

Welcome to the forum David,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. I've posted a suggestion in your thread there.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
