Default Greetings from the CHI

I purchased my 2019 F-Type R from the inventory of an out-of-state dealer and a friend who has an Illinois dealer’s license served as an intermediary. The title transfer is still being finalized. My dealer friend is doing a mini-detailing while mounting and balancing my wheels and snow tires (a full set of Pirelli Sottozeros with graphite O.Z. Racing wheels). I did take it out for an initial test drive this afternoon, pending the transfer of titles, etc.

I didn’t have the opportunity to really spin it because of traffic, but I did go on Interstate 290 (the Eisenhower Expressway in the Chicago area), and I tested the acceleration and handling.

The power of the car is palpable and the exhaust notes are symphonic in their magnitude. What really struck me is how manageable (but fun) the car is in everyday driving, which makes me glad that this car will be my daily driver.

This is beautiful, capable and exhilarating automobile. A supercar or near-supercar.

Ooo! It's RED!! (Red is my second favorite right after BLACK)
You will Certainly know which car is yours in a sea of white, gray and silver that clogs parking lots these days.
Congratulations on a good choice well made!
