Greetings to the Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
My name is Brown and I reside in the Hampton Roads Virginia Area. I own a beautiful Hunter Green 2001 XJ8(4.0 L, V8) with approximately 107,000 miles. I call her "B" after a Special Friend. Please excuse my abrupt entry into the forum. Needed help and I figured this would be a good place to get info. I have had the car for about 3 years now. Purchased it with only 75,000 miles on the odometer, and I believe I was the 2nd owner after she was removed from the Leasing Program. I must say the ride was the smoothest I have ever experience and I loved driving that car. It was everything I expected a Jag to be after wanting one for years.
She has been placed off line due to Transmission issues for a while now. Car would not go into Reverse. Problem turned out to be in the "A" Drum. Trans has been removed and disassembled. Currently, I am looking to bring her back online by having the trans rebuilt and reinstalled. Looking forward to that day!

I had the same year XJ8L in black. Great car and, as you say, a very smooth ride. I hope your transmision rebuild is soon completed.
I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
