Greetings,
I am Mike form Cottonwood Heights Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. I have a 89 XJS and a X300 VanPlas.
The X300 is my daily driver in the summer then is garaged for the winter.
The XJS is original body work with one repaint. The engine has be rebuilt, 3 mm over bore, custom pistons, balanced all rotating parts, heads cc, ports matched and the exhaust valve relieved. It has a Tremec 5 speed, aluminum flywheel, and a custom clutch. The suspension has shorter springs, adjustable shocks, and poly bushings.
It is much closer to what a XJS should have been. I drive it a Miller Sports Park on open track days and with local club days. Fun but too heavy to be pushed hard.
I had series II E type that I enjoyed, a Lotus Espite (fun to drive but hot in the summer) and X308 with the naskel problems.
